Dad I really miss you.......

Father, Father, hold me now,
I long to feel your touch.
Father, Father, my heart weeps still,
I miss you so very much.

I miss your warmth, I miss your smile,
I miss your gentle guiding hand.
You taught how to hold a bat,
When to walk, to run, to stand.

You offered such acceptance,
Always let me be who I am,
Never questioning my decisions,
You helped me become a man.

You were ill when I arrived,
At the start it brought us close,
Often nursing me off to sleep,
I was much luckier than most.

To this day, I rejoice my fortune,
Knowing I was a lucky one;
To be born of a loving and gentle man,
Who reached out and touched his son.

Father, Father, hold me now...

Hey all bypassians sorry for posting something serious like this,

With deep sorrow I am announcing that one of our co-bypassian Santosh Shanbhag lost his father yesterday. I pray to god "may his soul rest in peace"

Let god give all that power and strength to Santosh and his family during this sad time.

Santosh we all are there with you ..... be brave ...take care of family especially your Mom ... it is devastating for her to loose her life partner.

Guys I all ways wonder why ??????
GOD (if there is any one by that name).... I dont belive that you ever existed....
Even if you were there .... then why do you take my father so early,

Hey god if you are seeing this blog then let me tell you one thing that I stopped believing in you the day you took away my Dad ... He died on my lap.... I prayed to you thousand times ..... you never came to my rescue. Now I dont even believe that you are there.......

My dad passed away on April 19th 2003, I never thought or imagined in my wildest dreams that I have to lead a life where my father is not with me......

This is for my dad

"I had so many things to tell you" " I missed so many chances to come close to you and tell you how much I love you" Sad thing was... we came closer ... when you were sick and when I struck that friendship with you and ... even you started talking to me like a friend... you went away..."

"Daddy, I love and miss u so much. I never thought the man who hung the moon and strongest man on earth could ever die. I wish you were here with me healthy and strong. I wish I could hug you and tell you how much I love you. I wish you could hug the me one more time. I hurt so bad. I was in denial about you dying. I didn't think you would ever leave"

I just pray one thing dad.... keep coming in my Dreams....

( Hey bypassins I could not hold myself from writing all this... I have just written everything coming from my heart and I am posting this .... without doing the spell check)

Sorry for the serious stuff this time.... But ....I have a message for all Bypassians... Guys don't waste time in arguing with your parents .... time is precious.... even the parents are... so love them as much as possible ... do not hesitate to ask them to be your friends.... get close to them today.

The Ultimate Hangout for AEC'ians - Kubera

(Recently when I was in Bhatkal ... I forgot to take the picture of kubera..... when I started travelling in the bus and neared I suddenly remembers what I had missed....... but still managed to get a glimpse from the moving bus.... thus its not clear ... but Kubera fans can make out clearly the steps of Kubera ....)

Guys I am really sorry for not posting anything for a long time,

Well !!! the reasons are many ...... (like I was busy shifting myself from an employee to an employer..... yes I have stared on my own now with a staffing company doing business both in India and USA... Total Business Solutions www.tbsicorp.com...)

I think thas too much of a talking about myself ..... I am voilating the basic rules of bypassians group where in we are here to share our stories as bypassians and not what are we doing now...

We really had lot of depressing moments back then.... starting with ... Internals went bad, did not get marks in internals, feeling lonley, failed in exams, no girls, no co-education , no money to , No current (power) ................ well you name it....!!!

In bhatkal and at Bypass We had all the reasons to get depressed...

I still remember that we had spent a hell of time cursing ourselves for coming to bhatkal...

So... So when you are so depressed .... you should be only in one place to relive the stress THE GRAND KUBERA.

Every time I think of a depressed situations in Bhatkal, I see only one place use to come to our rescue...... THE GRAND KUBERA.....

Not only the depressed moments ... even when we were happy and could not hold ourselves any more.... go to Kubera.

I am sure that we all have spent countless hours in kubera discussing how big and rich we all gonna be once we finish this course.

For all bypassins who never belived in travelling by Auto ..... when it comes to going Kubera... never think twice... get an auto or bus .... anything

Did'nt have any money ????? never mind .... your friends are not helping you ??? never mind ... just tell them you are depressed/happy and going to Kubera!!!!! and see the magic ....Once the program is fixed the money use to flow to us like a miracle (that too with easy EMI's) Thanks to all of those broad hearted friends,

That dim light of kubera , those cabins filled with AEC'ans ..... sitting in a corner cabin with friends..... the initial discussion of what to order..... sellecting the starters....... back to the hoot discussions till the order is served ...... Cheers!!!! two glasses...... we are all in a different world .... then next.... finish the glasses ... go to rest room... empty tanks ....... come back to the hot discussion.... order another XXXXX ..... finish that..... then comes the great food of kubera.....
That silkey Butter chicken with Butter Naan... hmmmm... god I wished this moment would have been as long as it can be....

Party is over ..... back to Bypass.... go to sleep ... dont bother to get up early tomorrow ... because its a Friday....

In The Memory of K (kai Masters)

Hi Bypassians,

When we talk of bypass ..... how can we forget the stress busters / short pleasure rides....

Wondering what are these stress busters... The Great Baindur shirur TEMPO's

Well how can we call them as stress busters..... ???? you can say .....the tempo's were always jam-packed and no air to breathe.... how can they be the stress busters / pleasure rides.... ???

A million $$$$ question ... but the K masters know the answer ( K masters = Kai masters)

Is it sounding like some lines from suspense Novel.............. sorry

Let me talk it straight. All the bypassians know what are theses tempos and why are we talking about them and about K masters.

We all thank these Tempo's from bottom of our Hand (not heart) .... that they really helped us commute daily to college and back to the room.

We also had the APM busses for our commute ... but they ... were ... tooo ... spacious and empty...and ... boring....

That's why every one proffered the Tempo's........ Am I saying right ???

I know that every one of us have our own sweet memories of those short but memorable joyrides.

Any bypassian saying " I used to go in Tempo's just to reach college in time .....!!!!" IS A BIG LIE....... ha ha ha

I still remember waiting in bypass (after a heavy break fast in ramu's canteen) for the 8.15 APM bus...... once you r in the bus then can see the big bunch of gals.... cant see the face.... u all know why... .. cant even recognize who... is who... but there were few of the K masters who were so perfect in judging who is who just by looking at ...... their............... arre yaar nothing else ... their chapples. The journey till college was sort but ...... was a unique memory every time.

Even while coming back from college.... the tempo's .... FULL JAMMED with people... some how insert your leg in ....and search for a place for your hand for a firm grip............... guys what are you thinking...... firm grip for your hand.... so that you are in the tempo and not fall on the road.

Well some of us used to get out of the tempo at bypass .... but there were exceptions .... some people use to decide to go on till Shirur / Baindur ( There are examples of going till Mangalore aslo) .

Now don't ask me why did they continue till shirur / baindur or mangalore.......

(NOTE : Initially I had thought of mentioning the names of the K masters but... It will not be right on their part as now they all are not single and Grown Up.
Moreover ... we all have done it so why point out few people.... ?? )

Cheers

Somu

After the Bypassians Meet... continuing the Bypas saga

After the first meet of bypassins ... guys here is another dose of "flash back" medicine to freshen up your Bhatkal memories .

The next picture was a destination for all the bypassians for all seasons...

Well seasons.... I am talking about the rich days (usually the month startings) when the wallets and purses were full (Thanks to the DD from Dad).

The dry seasons (Month ends)... Dry because of the lavish parties we use to have during rich seasons ( Courtesy Kubera)

The only destination when you were hungry and is also fit for all seasons.....???? Guess....

Hmm ... got it.. ???? No ... not Kubera...

Guys the Chicken Chilli Parotha and Ghee rice..... got it?????

Ok I think you have guessed it right ... I am talking about "Kwality Hotel "

The great Chicken Chilli and Paratha with lots of chicken... obviously during rich season and the Dal Rice ... during the dry seasons.

I still remember the juicy Chicken chilli and the hot parathas... hmm... heaven.

Check these photos I had taken to refresh your Kwality memories... I am Dammn sure that mouth will start watering after remembering the quality chicken....

Bypassians first meet

Hi All,

After the important announcement last week we had planned for the first meet for Bypassins.

I have always seen / experienced ... that anything I plan for !! ... never works as per the plan,

But this time I proved myself wrong... we the Bypassians met near Sampige Theatre on Sunday 31 July 2006.

Well on that day ...till 9 Am I was'nt sure that the meet will happen. Called Gopal... he was ready. Checked with Prashanth .... oops ... he too was ready ...

After giving lot's of assurance to Manisha that this not the kinda meets we use to have in Bhatkal... finally Prashant was granted the permission and we headed to Sampige Theatre.

The surprise guest was Javed... Prashant managed to call him to sampige Theatre...

Gopal was the first one to arrive at the spot.. myself and Prashant were the second then came in Sameera Simha,

Well the mood was already of "Ramu canteen wala"

Even Javed came in and was surprised to see all of us .... but there was one guy still missing....

Guess who ???

This guy was on the way an hour back and still searching Sampige Theatre....

we waited.... waited..... Nope... He was still on the way...... (Nan bartha edini kano... ennu 10 minutes nalli alli ertine)... 10 min .. 20 min.... one hour... the great man never arrived,

Aadre hotte kelbekalla ?? ( Adu ..Prashant hotte) ..... Halli mane'ge hoogiddu aitu Idly Vade jadaisiddu aitu. Coffe'nu aitu...

Our great friend never arrived..... I hope you guessed him right... its our NARASIMHA MURTHY.

Atlast came in on his pulsar with the same old BIG smile on his face. Well he was looking awesome with a Ray-Ban on his shaved head.... (check the Photographs)

Malleshwaram Don Sameera Simha guided us to his official Adda ( Malleshwaram Rly Station) to sit down .. relax and ,,chat.

Enjoyed every moment of it ... remembering the time we had spent in Bhatkal..

The only people who missed out.. Ashwin and Chandru.

Will write more tomorrow....

Till then ..... hoy battene marayre.... Shirur tempo bantu.. kaige tumba kelsa kodbeku .....

Continuing the Bypass saga

Friends after the first posting here I have the next hot spot in bypass...... guess which hot spost ....... its the Ramu's canteen.

Who will forget the famous Ramu's canteen ... the official breakfast joint for AEC'ians at bypass.

The one rupee dosa's , the Idly Curd and sugar( may be a weird combination but tasted better at ramu's canteen) , the bun- sira/ chatni, and the mighty avalakki sambar ( to fill the empty stomach).

I still remember those month-ends when the pockets were empty and the stomach seems to be more empty than ever. Here we go to Ramu canteen ....order all the dosa's idly's in a commanding loud voice ... eat all that and at last whisper in ramu's ears to add the bill to our account and will be cleared as soon as the DD comes from home.....!!! ( we all should thank him for feed us in our crises)

But I and Gopal remember the Ramu's canteen .... not only for the brekfast ... but for our evening boose sessions.

Oh those were days to remember till we die....... ....................

.............. After being busy for the Internal exams ( who is saying we were stydying)....... after the last exam ... that evening the mood all set for Gopal and me for a boose session at Ramus canteen.

Starting with the mixture/pickle Jockey and local kola.....*... cheers .....*... goes on ... our party ...

Gopal if you are reading this..... man those were a the gem of the days we had spent in Bypass.

Soon after the boose session at Ramu's canteen here we go to laxmi theater for ... dammn... any movie which is running.. no matter if it's of some mithun da mavie or the dialogue king sai-kumar movie... let it be a sentimental / action/ drama.... we sit there and laugh till "The End" comes on the screen... come back to room laughing about the movie .... .....
