In The Memory of K (kai Masters)

Hi Bypassians,

When we talk of bypass ..... how can we forget the stress busters / short pleasure rides....

Wondering what are these stress busters... The Great Baindur shirur TEMPO's

Well how can we call them as stress busters..... ???? you can say .....the tempo's were always jam-packed and no air to breathe.... how can they be the stress busters / pleasure rides.... ???

A million $$$$ question ... but the K masters know the answer ( K masters = Kai masters)

Is it sounding like some lines from suspense Novel.............. sorry

Let me talk it straight. All the bypassians know what are theses tempos and why are we talking about them and about K masters.

We all thank these Tempo's from bottom of our Hand (not heart) .... that they really helped us commute daily to college and back to the room.

We also had the APM busses for our commute ... but they ... were ... tooo ... spacious and empty...and ... boring....

That's why every one proffered the Tempo's........ Am I saying right ???

I know that every one of us have our own sweet memories of those short but memorable joyrides.

Any bypassian saying " I used to go in Tempo's just to reach college in time .....!!!!" IS A BIG LIE....... ha ha ha

I still remember waiting in bypass (after a heavy break fast in ramu's canteen) for the 8.15 APM bus...... once you r in the bus then can see the big bunch of gals.... cant see the face.... u all know why... .. cant even recognize who... is who... but there were few of the K masters who were so perfect in judging who is who just by looking at ...... their............... arre yaar nothing else ... their chapples. The journey till college was sort but ...... was a unique memory every time.

Even while coming back from college.... the tempo's .... FULL JAMMED with people... some how insert your leg in ....and search for a place for your hand for a firm grip............... guys what are you thinking...... firm grip for your hand.... so that you are in the tempo and not fall on the road.

Well some of us used to get out of the tempo at bypass .... but there were exceptions .... some people use to decide to go on till Shirur / Baindur ( There are examples of going till Mangalore aslo) .

Now don't ask me why did they continue till shirur / baindur or mangalore.......

(NOTE : Initially I had thought of mentioning the names of the K masters but... It will not be right on their part as now they all are not single and Grown Up.
Moreover ... we all have done it so why point out few people.... ?? )

Cheers

Somu

After the Bypassians Meet... continuing the Bypas saga

After the first meet of bypassins ... guys here is another dose of "flash back" medicine to freshen up your Bhatkal memories .

The next picture was a destination for all the bypassians for all seasons...

Well seasons.... I am talking about the rich days (usually the month startings) when the wallets and purses were full (Thanks to the DD from Dad).

The dry seasons (Month ends)... Dry because of the lavish parties we use to have during rich seasons ( Courtesy Kubera)

The only destination when you were hungry and is also fit for all seasons.....???? Guess....

Hmm ... got it.. ???? No ... not Kubera...

Guys the Chicken Chilli Parotha and Ghee rice..... got it?????

Ok I think you have guessed it right ... I am talking about "Kwality Hotel "

The great Chicken Chilli and Paratha with lots of chicken... obviously during rich season and the Dal Rice ... during the dry seasons.

I still remember the juicy Chicken chilli and the hot parathas... hmm... heaven.

Check these photos I had taken to refresh your Kwality memories... I am Dammn sure that mouth will start watering after remembering the quality chicken....

Bypassians first meet

Hi All,

After the important announcement last week we had planned for the first meet for Bypassins.

I have always seen / experienced ... that anything I plan for !! ... never works as per the plan,

But this time I proved myself wrong... we the Bypassians met near Sampige Theatre on Sunday 31 July 2006.

Well on that day ...till 9 Am I was'nt sure that the meet will happen. Called Gopal... he was ready. Checked with Prashanth .... oops ... he too was ready ...

After giving lot's of assurance to Manisha that this not the kinda meets we use to have in Bhatkal... finally Prashant was granted the permission and we headed to Sampige Theatre.

The surprise guest was Javed... Prashant managed to call him to sampige Theatre...

Gopal was the first one to arrive at the spot.. myself and Prashant were the second then came in Sameera Simha,

Well the mood was already of "Ramu canteen wala"

Even Javed came in and was surprised to see all of us .... but there was one guy still missing....

Guess who ???

This guy was on the way an hour back and still searching Sampige Theatre....

we waited.... waited..... Nope... He was still on the way...... (Nan bartha edini kano... ennu 10 minutes nalli alli ertine)... 10 min .. 20 min.... one hour... the great man never arrived,

Aadre hotte kelbekalla ?? ( Adu ..Prashant hotte) ..... Halli mane'ge hoogiddu aitu Idly Vade jadaisiddu aitu. Coffe'nu aitu...

Our great friend never arrived..... I hope you guessed him right... its our NARASIMHA MURTHY.

Atlast came in on his pulsar with the same old BIG smile on his face. Well he was looking awesome with a Ray-Ban on his shaved head.... (check the Photographs)

Malleshwaram Don Sameera Simha guided us to his official Adda ( Malleshwaram Rly Station) to sit down .. relax and ,,chat.

Enjoyed every moment of it ... remembering the time we had spent in Bhatkal..

The only people who missed out.. Ashwin and Chandru.

Will write more tomorrow....

Till then ..... hoy battene marayre.... Shirur tempo bantu.. kaige tumba kelsa kodbeku .....
