Happy Friendship Day !!!!!!
Hey Vijay ... Its Friendship day again ...... Missing you so much ...be....
Where ever you are I Just wanted to wish " Happy Friendship Day" ....
Some one has written this poem for their lost friend felt so so much close to what I am feeling .....
I sit around and wonder,
and watch the days go by.
I look at all the pictures,
and ask, why did you have to die?
You've always been there for me,
because you were my best friend,
and I was always there for you
until the very end.
But now it's time to let you go,
your spirit now is free.
Even though you won't really be gone,
because you'll live inside of me.
So when we have to leave you
at your resting place,
I will always remember
your smiling, beautiful face.
This is hardly a goodbye,
so I won't weep anymore,
because now you're in better place
then you ever were before.
Even though that I will miss you,
and I'll think about you everyday
you'll always be my best friend,
and that's all I have to say.

The days will always be brighter because he existed. The nights will always be darker because he's gone. In The Memory of P Vijay Kiran Reddy
Friday, May 28, 2010
Tumse bichad ke jeena ...... its hell yaar ... why did you leave us Vijay ?
Ye zindagi to tujh se hai mere dost,
Aaj kal ye sanse bhi sath nahi deti.
Mai lafzo se kuch kahu ya Pir na kahu,
Par mujh ko har pal teri yaad satati hai
Jo gam samajhte hai woh kam samajhte hai.....
kis tarah waqt guzar raha hai dosto ke bina.....
yeh koi aur nahi sirf hum samajhte hai.........
Har aane wali khabar teri ho
E-dost apni dosti itni buland ho
Ki meri jaan jaane par sabse
Pehle aankhen teri gilli ho
Karoge Yaad Ek Din
Karoge Yaad Ek Din Is Dosti Ke Zamane Ko
Chale Jayenge Jab Hum Kabhi Na wapss Aane Ko
Chalega Mehfil Me Jab Zikr Hamara Koi
To Tum Bhi Tanhayi Dhundoge Aansu Bahane Ko
Door Nahi Jana Hame Bhulana Nahi Aata,
Tum Bhool Jao Hame Tumhari Marzi,
Magar Hum Kya Kare Hame Bhulana Nahi Aata….!!!!

Lets Share Our Memories ......of P Vijay Kiran Reddy
Sharath
I donot have words to express my condolence. I cannot believe that you are no more.I remembered the memories that we spend together @ our College days. I remember the group studies(Night Studies with full Smoking cigerrete for every 10mins) that we spent in HOSTEl and in your room Ayesha Plaza.and remembered the spot when u, me & rupesh went for Blood donation at Biandoor that day we three dont know kannada & we are in search of a theatre to watch DDLJ but we dont know kannada & Ofcourse English . It was u who asked a Beaty for the theatre u asked her "WHICH IS THE WAY TO GO TO THEATRE' She told " U GO STRAIGHT 12ups" Confused but we pretended as if we know the spot. then we walked around 1km straight by counting speed breakers ' COUNT=4 then one restaurant we asked Bearer about the theatre he told us to goback to the same spot where we started & walk for 10Steps. That day we were fooled But we laughed for the whole day and we remembered that now then
Again in Manglore we thaught of going to beach but we dont know how to go there. standing near new chitra thetre. we thaught of asking somebody . But we dont know kannada& English. on that day u again selected one beaty on road to ask for the way to beach. u asked her "WHICH IS THE WAY TO GO TO BEACH" She replied saying" U go straight. take left. take 225Bus...etc etc... then she told"Y CAN'T U TAKE A RICK"... again confused... but pretended as if we understood her direction. She suddenly Showed One Auto Rickshaw & Told Y CAN'T U TAKE THIS RICK" We jumped into the rickshaw and laughed whole day....
..... now i really MISS u ... GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL...

My Dear Friend P Vijay Kiran Reddy .....

Ek dost wo mera kaha chala gaya..
Jana nahi tha jidhar wo waha chala gaya..
Kya rutha wo ki meri jindgi ruthi..
Aisa lagta hai ki mera jahaa chala gaya..
Dear Bypassians,
Four Years back when I started this blog; there were two strong motivations … one was the movie “My Autograph” and the other was my friend Vijay Kiran Reddy
My heart is all wrecked and the pain is so intolerable in sharing this news of the death of my dearest friend Vijay Kiran Reddy, He passed away on Friday 14th May 2010, in his home (Shrewsbury, MA).
There are no Words and no grammar; I can use to put his loving memories in these sentences,
Losing a jigri dost like Vijay has bought so much of pain that ….. I am still not able come in terms with the present …..that he is no more….
We all knew how good a friend he was and personally, being his roommate, classmate and a close friend for 15 years, I don’t know how can we live with only the memories of his but not him ……
Vijay saale ……humse door kyo chala gaya be…….. I am missing you so so much yaar ……..
We thought of you today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought of you yesterday
And will tomorrow, too.
We think of you in silence
And make no outward show.
For what it meant to lose you
Only those who love you know.
Remembering you is easy,
We do it every day.
It's the heartache of losing you
That will never go away.

Another Bypassians Meet........
Its been a long time since I had blogged...
Well here is another dose of Bypassians.. for Bypassians....... ........ reasons .... were many like office / my housewarming ... etc
I had forgotten to mention about the Bypassians meet ... happened long back ... on the day of holi.
The bypassians present on that day were Girish , Javed, Kempanna, Gopal, Pradeep Singh and me (Somu)
Venue: Pai Victory off - JC road
We had a great time , bringing back the good old days we all had spent in Bhatkal....
The discussion started with the topic on AEC hostel , how bad was the dal and how filthy was the mess.....
Then it turned to our super seniors like Sandeep Shetty, Sharath Shetty, Aravind Singh, Omprakash Rai, Ankinidu........
We also discussed on how scary were the initial days in Hostel ...... My personnel experience on my first day at AEC was the scariest ....
The scenes I had seen on that day were .... peeping from the second floor of second block ...... becos it was a new year day, all of us had locked ourselves in our rooms fearing of some drunk senior knocking our room to ragg us....
at mid night 1.30 we (Basu, Krishna, Altaf......) heard some one shouting .... then what we saw was something taken out from a Rowdy movie......
We saw one of Andhra senior is running behind another one with a sword in his hand...... ooops
We saw the drama for more than 20 minutes ..... all of us shit scared to the core....
Everyone of us decided that ... today is our last day in AEC...... the episode continues.....
This was one of the episodes by me .......
I will keep posting the discussions we had and the experiences we shared in the coming blogs.....
I will leave a few snaps taken on that day ..... (the snaps are not that clear as it were taken on Gopal's N series cell phone )

Umesh is getting married.... Congrats !!!!
It’s been a long time talking to you all,
Guess who’s happy this month … Wedding bells are ringing for one of our co-bypassian….
Umesh Bhat….is the (un) Lucky …. Sorry Umesh don’t mind for the Un…. Well the experience speaks … what you all married bypassians say …. hmmmm … ????
Umesh has sent the soft copy of his marriage invitation card to post it on bypassians,
Here goes Umesh Bhat inviting all bypassians,
Hi Aecians
I am Inviting You And Your Familly On My Mairrage Function On 4 th May 2007.
Considering this is my personal invitation please attend my marriage.
Umesh V Bhat

I just want to advice Umesh by the following quotes prior to loosing his “Bachelor “Status,
Well Umesh please read them carefully and … better not understand the meaning…..
Just kidding man….. Do not take these quotes seriously…..
Getting married is very much like going to a restaurant with friends. You order what you want, then when you see what the other fellow has, you wish you had ordered that.
"Why do married men gain weight while bachelors don't ?
Bachelors go to the refrigerator, see nothing they want, then go to bed.
Married guys go to the bed, see nothing they want, then go to the refrigerator."
"I never knew what real happiness was until I got married; and then it was too late."
"Make love, not war. I'm married, I do both."
"Love may be blind but marriage is a real eye-opener !"
“A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person"
“Congratulations to you on behalf of all the bypassians”

Sudhir's first and second day at AEC, Bhatkal
Its been long time since the last blog,
Sorry for the delay guys,
Well there is a response for my blog on the first day's in AEC and Bhatkal,
Sudhir has responded with his warm memories of Bhatkal,
Such memories will make us feel the time of Bhatkal.... those first days in Bhatkal with lots of hopes and thrills...... why dont you all share the first days at Bhatkal .....at AEC...???
Here goes Sudhir's First and second day...
Dec 4th, 1993
Time: 8 AM.
We took a rickshaw from Vaibhav to AEC!!!..I was amazed to see the rickshaw mounting a hill.............!!!!!!!!
My parents were there with me to the Principal's office for the formalities of joining the college! (They had accompanied me in the rickshaw)
I had the CET board seat allocation chit with me, and after flashing that at the Principal's office and after undergoing the other formalities, we went to Nagraj's Canteen......we had idlis and coffee along with the peon at the principal's office (forgot his name!).....My dad offered him 20Rs for his courtesy for joining us to the canteen!....As a respect, he told me (in front of my dad) to come next day to the college and contact him for any assistance that I may require!...He also told us to go home for that day!....Next day was a sunday. I asked him whether the college will be open the next day!..he replied that Friday is an holiday for AEC!
Dec 5th, 1993
We were still put up in Vaibhav. At around 8 AM, I took a rickshaw again (alone this time, leaving behind parents at the lodge) to the college!
I met that peon, whom we met the earlier day and asked him for the Electrical class. He told me that its in the first floor above Principal's office and also that the class starts at 8:00 AM. I rushed to the class in the first floor, it was 8:15 AM.......I asked the Lecturer's (forgot his name, Maths lecturer - not Ataulla!!!) permisson and the was looking for a place to sit.......class strength was huge (around 120 people)...finally I found a place and warmed it!
I saw next to me on the left, a lean and handsome fellow, with brown eyes sitting!...I said Hello to him....and asked him where he was from!....He said in a typical Malayali accent...that he is from Trivendrum, Kerala. He was none other than Matthew Solomon Mathai!!!!!!
After that class and one more class (don't remember that at all!)...the classes were called off and we were asked to go home and come the next day!
I headed back home(oops..sorry Vaibhav lodge!)......I walked all the way to the entrance to the hill to AEC and in the VRL booking office, Booked 2 tickets for that evening to Bangalore, for my parents and went to lodge.
My dad and mom, in the meantime had talked to Sudhir (receptionist at Vaibhav) and arranged for a small house in Mood Bhatkal. When I went to the lodge, they told me the same and it was time for us to visit my future-house in mood bhatkal. He showed us the house and although the rent was expensive (400Rs PM), my parents were okay with that as they believed some other AECians may join me as promised by Sudhir. He also explained that there are buses from bypass to AEC, when we expressed our concern that the distance is too much to commute daily!.... His comments made us feel a bit good. We asked Sudhir (he was the owner of the house) to get the house cleaned and we went all the way back to Vaibhav and packed our things to come back with our luggage at around 3:00 PM.
So, finally I got my accomadation thing done!...Now, It was time for us to shop!...We went around the stretch from my room to Quality (old one!)..and purchased some utensils and other stuff!..I had to keep track of the route from the room to all the places we went so as to make sure, we reach the room, without any hiccups!!!..I did it very successfully (needless to say!)....
My mom prepared some chapathis and curry that evening and now it was time for them to leave Bhatkal, leaving me alone, high and dry!!!!
That painstaking moment also finally arrived, Sudhir had arranged a rickshaw from my new house to Bhatkal bus stand and back!....I saw-off my parents and came all the way back to my new house in mood bhatkal!....not to mention that I had tears in my eyes. I had never been away from them, uptil that time!!!
Thanks and Regards,
Sudhir V Pudwal

17 days after the New Year blast.....
Hope you all had a blast on the new year day..... well its all over now and 2007 is 17 days old so as the new year blast, the party, the resolutions.
I always felt that the good times should have frozen in time and we could have enjoyed that moment of joy forever..... nope this is not the reality as the cruel future becomes the ongoing present and puts a full stop for the moment of joy and pushes it to the past.... thus the past becomes so adorable that we keep going back to our past .... remembering those good old days.... those unforgottable moments..... (I am getting confused myself... lemme stp here talking about past present and the future)
One thing is common with all Bypassians ..... we all are AECians ..... whether we liked our college or not ... its true that we all were there....
Though the blog is to talk about Bypassians and bypass .... its not complete without talking about the our college , Hostel, Mess the TV hall........ the co-education .... so on
We (Most of us) bypassians have spent atleast one to two years in the hostel and had tasted the famous (in-famous) Dal of our mess.
As we talk about bypass there was a parallel world running on the AEC hill at the hostels and we all were a part of that world atleast one's.
I have decided to talk more about the hostel and the college world from now on ... so please do send me your Hostel experiences......
Lets refresh all those College and Hostel memories once again....
To start with ... i am posting the photograph of the 1st 2nd and the 3rd blocks hostel..... this is where most of us started our AEC life....????
In the next Blog I shall start with my first day experience in the college.....
Meanwhile I request you all to share your first days at the college... mail me on somu.sk@gmail.com .... I shall post them on the blog...
(Guys dont forget to click on the sponsers by downloading Firefox and the google adds)

New Year Eve.....A party at Kubera

Hi all,
What to say on the New years eve... the pictures above say it all ....still let's start with the definition of the new year..
The New Year is an event that happens when a culture celebrates the end of one year and the beginning of the next. Cultures that measure yearly calendars all have New Year celebrations.
Ooops.... that's what Wikipedia had to say..... not me.
Guys Wish you all a Happy New Year ..2007 .... in advance....
Haven't we spent enough time cursing Bhatkal , Aec..... when we were at bhatkal ?
But honestly we had lot of things to complain .... like no co-education at the college, the teaching staff, the hostel, food, the rain, the sweat, jam packed tempo's, no busses to bypass, saikumar & Mithunda's movies... well the list goes on ..... still there are 100 of other things we complained about.... which was the reality back there...
But don't you think we also had some of the advantages of being in bhatkal ... which were the one kept us alive there....
Like the Kubera, Quality, seven seas, Sindhu, murudeshwar, the APM buses, the packed tempo's with good people kind enough to give us the that lill space to creep in and hang on to it also worth mentioning the other minor advantages of coming in tempo's (we all know),
the konkan train which made going Goa just a matter of 100 bucks in the pocket, the fish curry (for the fish eater's), Laxmi theatre (for morning shows) and Pushpanjali (for night shows), the near by hotspots like Gokarna, Toodalli falls, Baindoor beach, trasi beach, .........
There are so many to list.....
Every new year eve brings me loads of bhatkal memories to me....
The new year parties at kubera, parties at shirali, the goa trips .....
The memories of the unplanned trip to Goa..... the time we had spent in Madgoan busstand and the panjim trip the next day.... all are sitting like the mpeg clips in my memory.... all I need is to replay it whenever I feel .....
Each one of us had atleast 4 newyear parties at bhatkal (some lucky one's like me had more than that) and we all have party even now.... but that carless attitude... no responsibilites, no worries about money, wife , job, kids....while partying .
The true parties was only at parties we did at bhatkal .
I am leaving the following flash clips for you all .... Happy New Year once again...

Response No 1... for Pradeep Singhs article by Sreenath
Here is the first response on Pradeep Singh's blog......
It's not that each one of us had to feel the same way what Pradeep, Somu or Gopal felt ...... well Sreenath has a different story to say ......
The truth is out here on this blog for the first time straight from Sreenath.....
I think all of us will have a say on this one....
Somu
Here goe's Sreenath's comment.....
Well it’s all flourishing moments I ever had in my life during my stay @ Distinction block…like Pradeep said he saved money when he stayed away from distinction block, I thought why not I make some money out this Distinction block? (sounds crazy ... look how I did it.....)
I went and cut a deal with CSC student and here was the deal…’I will move get you my single room and how much can you afford me?
He replied with a big smiling face how much you want? I said 3K .....and next moment the deal was closed and I walked away from the hostel and stayed near K U B E R A……..
Enjoyed for 2 months with out studying just watching bur..'s and full time playing and cooking…continued this for next 2 months then I realized...... I was screwing my career.......oops....
One fine day came back to hostel and Told Raj Kumar (ENC professor and then Warden) and here it goes my conversation with him …
”Sir I want single room now, he said you had volunteered...? your room to some one else so we don’t have any more, I said sir I am not able to study properly after I left hostel, he said I told you many times but you never listened to me…You better come next year, I will talk to my management about you and I will personellay request them to get you shared room, sir if I waste my final year like this it will spoil my career.
He said this year you enjoy next year you can study well…;-). Then some tears (mosale kanneeru)…and started "sir actually we are very poor sir....!!!!???", we didn’t have money to afford a single room at that time, that’s why I gave that to other person. as now we got loan sanctioned and I want to study hard ..... so that single room is very essential..… he told ok I will talk to Bokaro(Principal and the management tonight and will try to get you shared room)….sir please sir…...
He told you come and meet me tomorrow. I met him next day, he told I have 1 single room but if you can pay the bill by end of today I can give you other wise I will give it to Satish Jarali ;-)…
I told him sir give me time till tomorrow I will call my father to get the money and come tomorrow morning itself… he told ok today you can shift but you should pay tomorrow….I paid after ..........5 days ;-)……….
Will update about Satish Jarali’s case later…

Pradeep Sing da article ... on the distinction block

Hi all,
Its been almost a month since I blogged sorry for the delay,
Hey all here is an article from our own Kannada speaking Sardar....Pradeep Singh,
Currently he is working in Ericcson and had been to Bhatkal and to our college in connection to installing an tower for Airtel,
The topic of Pradeep's article is about the Hostel and to be more precise .... its about the famous distinction block....
Man....!!!!! we all had heard lot's of stories and myth'n block ..... only top scorer's get in there and all the rooms are single rooms.... there is water 24/7 and next to the mess..... there were so many attractions and advantages we all saw and wated to be there in our final year.....
Well most of us did not have that good marks to enter there .... well .. I think none of the bypassians did bother about that .... vcos... we already had our own 5 star single rooms at Bypass.....
Well Pradeep has got some nice photographs from the top of the distinction block....(none of us had accesses there)
Along with the article is also shares his feelings about the distinction block,
Here goes Pradeep's story,
Enjoy....!!!

Going back to the room where you lived

Guys,
How doe's it feel to you to go back to Bhatkal.. Bypass ... the street you use to walk every day ... the room where you once lived...????
Well tell me honestly how many of you ever visited the above said places in your dreams after moving out of Bhatkal...?
No matter how worse the days were at Bypass but we always cherish those memories of Bypass.
I hope my experience (listed below) may resemble many bypassians feelings about our stay at bypass,
Just imagine that we have got a time machine and we all are back in time when we were at Bypass.....
Wether it may be the Shanbhag compound OR GK Block we all shared the same locations (u can say hot spots). and the following places and the pictures will hit our mind as we back to one of the old days of bypass,
Imagine you are getting out of the tempo at bypass after a busy day at collee ...
First we see the ramu canteen ... lets have a chai and a smoke.... feelin better .. lets move on and start walking to our rooms,
Now if you stayed at GK block..... cross the temple (forgot the name) then comes the public school ... take a right ... u can see satish chandra office (the liquior contractor) a familier face oppt to the office (you know who ?) ... move on there comes a big building and you can see window of Balu's room. come further enter the familier steps upstairs.... first comes Narahari's room on left... hey u can see sooraj Kawa on the right... next on right ... a room with a nice music system ... u gussed it right ... sarvanan and sudheer's room .. then suri rama and at last balus room. Down goes the steps to the GK block owners house ( worth mentioning one name "Burma aunti" with that thick pleasent voice). Lets come to the Balcony near the stair
If you stayed in Shanbhag compound .... after the public school cross the kashi math take left... before Jayesh's house on left here are the rooms ... first one... Somu next the bank guy Ravi ... Kiran's room ... the famous Narasimha Murthy's room.... couple of cute faces... comes sameera simha/sai kumar's room.
next to Jayesh's house was the famous aunty Mess .... we all had many hot dinners / lunch's...????? those little chapati's, rice and the famous dal and .... how can we forget the butter milk... after a heavy meal.....
Also how can I forget that nice view of Jayesh's house from my room... an ideal house to own in bhatkal... nice garden full of flowers , lawn....
(its getting longer ... lets visit the other spots in coming days like The veer vittal road ... the familiar kashi math, the Shanteri Kamakshi temple... etc)
let me know ... if you are back in Bypass ????

Continuing The Bypass S..... book Scandel !!!! (by Sameera Simha)
This is the continuation of "the Bypass S..... book Scandel"
This is what Sammera Simha had to share with all Bypassians!!!!
One of interesting thing about Bypass is Somu's Circulating Library. He had a wide variety of books from local to international flavours. He used to borrow and donate the books who are in need.
Ya you have gussed it right, It's not engg books they are s.. books or more commonly known as syllabus book, story book or SB.
Somu Circulating library was not only famous in bypass but also in college. He matainted a varity of books from Debonair to Nenapu kadtave, Ganda hendati,Romanchana,. Somu . was the fund raiser to bring a new book. The contributors were chandru, prashnath, Sai kumar, Narasimha, kiran and others. The library became so famous that even Ramu (Ramu canteen) used to ask. Some of them dropped exams to cover entair syllabus of the book.
Chandru(Steal Man) used to steal books from fellow mates. He had an instinct to steal others book. There were some persons who used to give sanyasi look but they used to read more than others. The people on board are Gopal, Sai kumar, Umesh, Vikram. Especially Saikumar used to Read the books several times.
The latest technology was introduced by Narasimha, He brought a computer and tell me one person who dint see a movie [ BF] in Narasimha computer. Girish, Javeed, Kiran, Ballappa and Narasimha, Saikumar made most of this emerging technology.
Inspite of the corroupt environment there were some studious boys like Johnly,Girish Gowda and lost but not least sameera
There is lot more coming up....... Please wait and reply to this
with Regards
Sameera

May your soul rest in peace!
God bless your family and give them courage to face this adversity!
Will miss you!
